Hubsan X4 H107D, as one of Hubsan’s best drones, was released late last year yet its great popularity still continues. It’s not much bigger than the Proto X, and has rubber feet but, much more importantly, it offers a built-in 640×480 camera that sends live video to the remote control for first-person view.
Mini quadcopter Hubsan Excellent Usage
Truly, it’s not a DJI Phantom or Inspire, but really works. More importantly, it is a great drone to fly, fast and sensitive, being able to fly indoors and outdoors. Actually, this little guy has enough weight to fly in a good breeze but not strong wind. I also have a Syma X5C that is too light for any kind of wind. Also, the control distance reaches up to 100 meters or so, but won’t work when there are some obstacles, so make sure that you play it at the open place.
Meanwhile, the LED serching light is pretty shiny and makes it a great night flyer.
Mini quadcopter Hubsan FPV Camera
The FPV camera is also a cool feature, which measures about 4.5 inches (114 mm) diagonally, looks beautiful, and feels nice and solid in hand. You can record the video, but you’ll need to install a Micro SD card in the slot in the controller. Though it can not give a full view, a large view is acceptable. You can use your camera phone to copy the video if you want to save it, or put it on line. Admittedly, it’s nothing to get excited about the 640×480 video, but for the price, still it is a fun video.
The controller has two modes. ‘Mode 2’ is specially designed for beginners, which is fairly easy to control and gives pretty stable flying. Expert mode lets you configure the controller sensitivity, thus you can get full control of the quad for more accurate flying. It means you can grow into the X4 FPV as you get more skilled in flying it, and perform flips and loops. This video shows the level of precision you can achieve with some practice.
Mini quadcopter Hubsan Powerful Battery
One charge of its 3.7-volt 380-mAh lithium polymer battery takes about 30 minutes via an included USB cable, and offers approx. 7 minutes of flight time. With the USB charging cable, it allows to be charged via computer or wall charger. It’s advisable for you to buy extra batteries and blades for more fun and protect the airframe. When the battery lights are flashing on the bottom of the quad, get it down quickly.
All in all, it’s hard to believe that something so little, like Hubsan X4 H107D, can be so much fun. It takes a lot of practice to master, but that’s worthy once you are experienced.
