Cheerson, which launched a number of small quality multi-rotor quads on the drone market last year, is surely no stranger to many RC lovers. It first comes out the nano CX-10 and then the Cheerson CX-30 with camera. Let’s make it clear that the CX-30 has two models: Cheerson CX-30W & Cheerson CX-30S. I clearly preferred the S model versus the W one.
Cheerson RC Quadcopter Technological Profile
It is 150mm in length, 150mm in width, and 40mm in height. Four colors(green, blue, orange and yellow) are available. Due to its attractive design, this thing was widely welcome in its class.
But what I really want to comment is that the video link of the S model is much better than with the W version since it has a very low latency and a relatively good range (> 50m without problem). The associated latency don’t allow for flying FPV in normal conditions. Additionally, the CX-30S can offer very stable videos out of the box without specific prop balancing.
Surely, flying this small quad can bring so much fun due to its flight functions: up and down, left and right, forward and backward, side flying and hovering, which are common in most of quads. But the 3D flip function with four direction may excite your feeling. Thanks to the small size and lightweight, it’s more suitable for indoor flight. Of course, you can take it out on calm days like the Syma X5C while both of them did not handle a breeze well. You surely know many of these small quads are indeed the case.
Cheerson RC Quadcopter Specially Designed Package
The Cheerson CX-30S is equipped with a 3.7V 700mah Lipo battery providing strong power the quad needs for operation and flights for up to 7 minutes. The controlling distance is about 30 to 50 meters, which is typically the case.
From the above statement, we can come to the safe conclusion that Cheerson CX-30S made some improvements in the videos, thus producing acceptable FPV results. Meanwhile, its flying characteristics is truly satisfactory.
